CORBON Self-Defense .38 Super +P 115gr Jacketed Hollow Point 20/Box are made with a gilding metal jacket and a soft lead core. The jacketed hollow point is specially scored inside and out to ensure uniform and rapid expansion. CORBON jacketed hollow points typically achieve 9”-15” of penetration. This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, in reloadable brass cases.
Please Note: This ammunition is loaded to a higher pressure than standard .38 Super. Although this ammunition is externally identical to standard ammunition of this caliber, this ammunition should only be used in firearms rated for .38 Super +P ammunition. Some firearms may not be rated for the higher pressures of the .38 Super +P, including a number of older firearms, including firearms that are of questionable quality. As a precaution, we recommend consulting with the manufacturer of your firearm, to ensure compatibility with your firearm.

accurate defense rounds
It was time for me to swap out my old carry ammo so I decided to give Corbon ammo a try. I bought five boxes and shot three. Great performance on paper targets and not any failures or issues to mention. This is a pretty stout round even in my Colt Gov 1911, but overall it did perform well. My friends always laugh that I carry a full size 1911 in 38 super for self defense but I like to have a full grip on my gun. I am not a fan of small cumbersome pistols. If I need to defend my life I like being able to get a full grip on my gun for better control. Overall the recoil is not as bad as what I thought it would be. I was easily able to get right back on target.
