Federal Premium Personal Defense PUNCH .45 ACP 230gr Jacketed Hollow Point 20/Box

Thank you Munitions Express for stocking this ammo, the great price and wonderful customer service. I originally called to see if you had this ammo available and I spoke with a gentleman named Ken. He stayed on the phone with me the entire time I placed my order and answered all my questions. He was so helpful. I ended up purchasing six boxes of the 45 federal punch 230 grain in February, and I am glad I did. I recently fired four boxes through my Glock 30 just to see if it would have any issues. Not one issue. With new self defense ammo, I usually like to shoot a minimum of one hundred rounds though my concealed carry gun to feel somewhat confident that I would carry it to defend my life. This ammo shot reliably. No issues whatsoever. I must say, it seemed to have slightly more recoil than the 45 federal hst 230 grain that I am used to carrying and occasionally practicing with on the range. It might just seem that way to me because I am 71 years old and I do not shoot my self defense rounds that often like I used to. I have been shooting guns since I was 26 and I still get just as excited about shooting new ammo and guns as I did back then. When I was at the range, I did shoot both the hst and the punch just to compare the two. I have been carrying 45 federal hst 230 grain for years and I must say, that for the price, and the reliable function I experienced with the new punch ammo, I would not mind carrying the 45 federal punch 230 grain for concealed carry, considering the difference in the price and now knowing that the 45 federal punch 230 grain shoots reliable through my glock. Hands down, I would not hesitate to carry this ammo in my gun for self defense. I would trust this ammo to defend my life, just as I would the federal hst ammo. If I were in a pinch and I could not find federal hst and this was available, I would carry this with confidence just as I would the federal hst.
