This ammunition utilizes Hornady 's NTX lead-free bullet (projectile). The non-lead core of the NTX bullet is manufactured from a frangible copper alloy which features a small space between it and the shaft of the hard polymer tip. The specially designed bullet cavity allows the bullet tip and shaft to build up increased energy upon impact with the target before driving into the bullet's core with increased force, initiating near-instant expansion and eruptive fragmentation. This ammunition features powder which is carefully matched and balanced for optimal pressure, velocity and consistent accuracy. Each cartridge and bullet is carefully selected based on wall thickness uniformity, internal capacity, case weight and consistent wall concentricity. This ammunition delivers optimized performance from a multitude of firearm platforms including direct impingement, gas piston, suppressed, unsuppressed, inertia, bolt, pump, supersonic, subsonic, rifle, mid-length, carbine and pistol.
