Hornady Critical Defense .223 Remington 55gr Flex Tip eXpanding 20/Box delivers close-quarters defense ballistics and features Hornady's patented Flex Tip eXpanding (FTX) bullet which prevents the nose cavity of the bullet free from clogging as it passes through heavy clothing and also helps the bullet expand at low velocities. The FTX bullet offers quick expansion and limited penetration from self-defense rifles, and utilizes nickel-plated cases aide which in reliable chambering and are more visible for chamber checks in low-light situations. This ammunition also utilizes additives blended with propellants, which aides in the reduction of muzzle flash in low-light self-defense situations. This ammunition is built specifically for defense purposes. This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, boxer primed, in reloadable brass cases.
