Hornady SST ML Lock-N-Load (Muzzleloader) .50 Caliber Speed Sabot with .45 Caliber 250gr Low Drag Super Shock Tip (SST) 20/Box offers 1" groups at 100 yards, 200+ yard performance, is 50% easier to load,  and is specifically designed for use by long range muzzleloader hunters. The .452" diameter SST ML delivers the utmost in accuracy, penetration and high weight retention. The SST-ML properly engages rifling, which effectively stabilizes the bullet and, as a result, offers increased accuracy. Hornady's speed sabot fully engages the rifling to keep the SST-ML centered and sealed during firing, allowing for maximum velocity, flat trajectories and unparalleled long range performance. The speed sabot also features a fumble-free method of pre-loading pellets. Muzzleloading pellets slide on tail to allow quick and easy loading in inline muzzleloaders. Please Note: Pellets are not included. Hornady's patented exclusive Flex Tip design that works as a catalyst for uniform expansion and enhanced terminal performance. Upon impact, the Flex Tip is compressed into the front of the bullet, causing the bullet to expand. These bullets are built for hunting medium sized game (50 to 300 lbs) including, deer, hogs, sheep and antelope. These bullets are new production and non-corrosive.

Please Note: A sabot is a plastic sleeve device that fits around a bullet (projectile) or slug which ensures the correct positioning of a bullet/slug inside the barrel of a firearm. When the bullet/slug is fired, the sabot falls away as it leaves the muzzle of the barrel.
